Who we are

About Veterans Weekly Cup-of-Coffee

Veterans Weekly Cup-of-Coffee is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting veterans through connection, conversation, and camaraderie.

Founded on February 8th, 2012, the organization was created to offer veterans a welcoming place to gather, share a meal, and support one another in a safe, relaxed, and respectful environment.

We proudly serve veterans throughout the Greater Wausau Area in Wisconsin.

Mission

Veterans Weekly Cup of Coffee exists to provide veterans with moral support, access to helpful resources, and a sense of belonging through weekly gatherings and community-based programs.

Vision

We envision a safe and welcoming community where veterans of all ages and service eras feel supported, connected, and valued, whether through a shared cup of coffee, a warm meal, or a meaningful conversation.

Our History

Founded on February 8th, 2012, Veterans Cup of Coffee was created to give veterans a consistent, welcoming place to gather, connect, and support one another.

What began as a simple weekly coffee gathering has grown into a trusted community organization serving veterans throughout the Greater Wausau Area.

Over the past fourteen years the organization has:

  • Delivered more than 3,300 meals to veterans and their families in need

  • Hosted weekly coffee and meals for veterans of all eras

  • Partnered with local businesses and community organizations to support veterans

Through the dedication of volunteers and the support of the local community, Veterans Weekly Cup-of-Coffee continues to focus on what matters most- connection, care and showing up for veterans week after week.

We believe that meaningful support doesn’t have to be complicated; sometimes it starts with a cup of coffee and a place to belong.

Our Programs

Veterans Weekly Cup of Coffee focuses on simple, consistent programs designed to support veterans through connection, conversation and care.

Weekly Cup of Coffee

Every Wednesday morning, veterans meet at Denny’s in Rothschild for coffee, a meal and good conversation. Some weeks include a guest speaker, updates about local resources, or donations from community members and businesses, and some weeks are just about sitting down, sharing stories, and catching up.

Veterans of all ages and service eras are welcome.

Meal Delivery Program

For veterans who are homebound, have limited mobility or transportation, or are in need, volunteers deliver meals each Wednesday to veterans, their spouses, and their caregivers, directly to their homes. This program helps ensure veterans still receive a warm meal and a reminder that their community cares.

Community Connections

We work alongside local businesses, veteran organizations and community groups to share information, support events and help connect veterans with available resources.
